Toray Plastics
Toray Plastics has developed dozens of PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) resin grades in the form of their flagship TORELINA and Can-Altek couldn’t be more proud to distribute these diverse materials. These grades consist of engineered thermoplastics with reinforcements such as glass and carbon-fiber filled. TORELINA is uniquely designed for chemical resistance, creep resistance, surface resistivity, and conductivity. Common applications include injection molding and extruding for the automotive, chemical processing, and semiconductor industries. In addition to TORELINA, Can-Altek carries TORAYCON—a PBT, polyester based thermoplastic, AMILAN—a nylon polyamide resin, and much more.
Product Profile
TORELINA® PPS
TORELINA PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) resin is a thermoplastic engineered with both cross-linked or linear types available. Diverse grades allow for strong heat resistance, rigidity, dimensional stability, moist-heat resistance, chemical resistance, and flame retardancy. Because of this, TORELINA is widely used in mechanical parts, car components, electronics, and chemical processing.
TORAYCON® PBT
TORAYCON PBT is a polyester-based thermoplastic well suited for compounding additives such as glass-fiber and flame retardancy. With excellent electrical properties and chemical resistance, TORAYCON is used in several fields including electronic devices, connectors,, automotive electronics, OA equipment, and industrial machinery parts.
AMILAN® Nylon
Toray’s AMILAN Nylon resin is a thermoplastic containing an amid group that exhibits strength, toughness, heat resistance, and anti-friction wear resistance. Several grades are available designed to meet various customer needs and applications.
